Yeah you are right... use "16,0" instead for the DOUT table. Or, if you don't have any DOUT modules at all (no 74HC595) then any SR >= 1 would do.

I've attempted to use Front panel designer however I find it very difficult to do any measuring and lining up of parts.
Are there any alternatives (preferably free) to FPD? I have some CAD background from university in AutoCad applications.

Okay, but DIN and DOUT can just have 0,0?
One issue is that I'm using J5 as a DOUT, so I guess IT can't have a 0,0 to represent a null address, because 0,0 is the first pin of J5.

Du kannst aber auch noch die change_id Applikation (unter downloads) benutzen um die ID nachträglich zu ändern.
Das ist dann sinnvoll wenn du mehrere Midiboxen...

The change_id_v_d.zip already comes with precompiled .hex files. Since you only have one core you want to upload "device_id_.hex". Then upload the SID software again.

1) You can upload a new hex file via midi to be sure
2) Why is it ID6? To use the change_id app, you just set the ID in the asm file. There are comments in there explaining the use of the app. I'll give you a hand if you get stuck of course

Firstly, if you're controlling tracks on a DAW, you might consider the MidiBox LC application. The app also does Mackie Control Universal, which is supported by pretty much every DAW. (well, all the major ones...)

If you set your fbv custom channel to 16 you should see the appropriate text for your hd147

you also mite want to consider drawing out your desired mixer on paper. this will solve a lot of the questions on how much parts you will need which will lead you to decide which midibox is right for you.

yeah I just checked the lcd module on an old core module that I know it used to work with and it doensn't. This means the cable or the module has been damaged.
