More interactive installations

Maya 2012 Schriftpuzzel

For the Maya 2012 exhibition at Museum Volkenkunde in Leiden, I programmed an interactive exhibit where visitors can solve a puzzle with Mayan glyphs on a large touchscreen and on large wall projections. I did this project when I worked for IJsfontein.

Techniques used: C++, openFrameworks

Insectenmuseum Lietenberg (Belgium)
For the insect museum Lietenberg (Belgium) I programmed two interactive exhibits. I did this project when I worked at IJsfontein.

Big Brother Awards 2010

For the 2010 Big Brother awards, organized by Bits of Freedom I programmed an interactive installation. In the hallway leading to the main room a camera was placed filming the public as it entered. This image was projected on a large screen in the event hall. Using face detection a random visitor was singled out, and his image overlaid with an info bubble with random information like ‘55000 airmiles’ or ‘just spotted at the Red Light District’.

Techniques used: C++, openFrameworks, openCV

HD Player Royal Palace 'Het Loo'

Royal Palace ‘Het Loo’ (Apeldoorn, Netherlands) updated their cinema for Hi-Def at a time when Hi-Def media players such as Blu-Ray were simply not invented yet.
I programmed a computer based system that enabled them to easily make and edit playlists or simply run them according to schedule.

I’ve also made interactive exhibits for Museum Catharijneconvent (Utrecht) and quite a number of them for Amsterdams Historisch Museum.
